Everything made in house. Restoring your smile has never been easier and faster.
Crowns are used when a tooth is beyond what a standard dental filling can repair. The entire tooth is covered with ceramic to reinforce the tooth and prolong its life. Bridges are when two crowns are used adjacent to a missing tooth to replace it.
Ceramic Veneers are restorations which are generally used cosmetically to cover the front of a tooth to restore its shape and colour. Often times a set of veneers is used to on the top 6 to 8 front teeth to improve a patient’s smile.
These types of restorations are highly technical, requiring intricate and measured preparation of the tooth/teeth and the use of intraoral digital 3d scanners to capture the details for the manufacturing process.
Having a full onsite dental laboratory, all veneer, crown and bridgework that would be otherwise outsourced at most dental clinics is manufactured and tested first hand by our dental technician. Not only does this translate into restorations that are more aesthetic, but also a more accurate fit minimising adjustments and appointment times.
We use all Australian certified and sourced materials, (TGA approved).
We prepare the tooth and make space for the crown, which may involve some filing of enamel.
We then use a digital scanner to measure precisely the size and shape of the crown needed. No messy or yucky impressions needed.
The digital scan is then used to create a beautiful digital tooth restoration via our state of the art Amann Girrbach software, which sends the data to our onsite milling machine to create the physical crown.
We then polish and perfect the colour of the crown to ensure your smile stays as bright as ever.
A crown covers the entire tooth to provide strength and protection, while a veneer is a thin ceramic shell bonded to the front of the tooth for cosmetic improvement.
With proper oral hygiene and regular check-ups at Wisdom Dental Clinic, high-quality ceramic restorations can last 10–15 years or longer.
